Paying your bills via the internet is a great idea. On paper.
In reality not so much in some cases.
I’ve been paying my American Express online for years and no problems.
Meanwhile Qwest was bought out by CenturyLink and I made the mistake of somehow converting my billing to online format. I got my first electronic bill from them today telling me my total due is $6.62.
I go to the poorly designed website to sign in and pay my bill. The website says my total due is $51.20 and it’s due by February 10th, 2011. I think that payment is going to be late.
Is this really the best a mega-too-big-to-fail-soon-to-be-bailed-out-with-my-tax-money corporation can do?
